The National Insurance Institute compensates polio victims who are residents of Israel and suffered from infantile paralysis in Israel.
A person recognized as a polio victim who became disabled as a result of the polio is entitled to a lump-sum compensation as well as to a monthly pension or grant, in accordance with his disability percentage or percentage of mobility limitation.
The compensation and pension do not affect the other benefits paid to polio victims.
