Functioning examination by a medical doctor

Upon reaching the age of 90, a person can choose to be examined by a medical doctor specialized in geriatrics rather than by an evaluator from the National Insurance Institute.

The examination may only be performed by a physician specialized in geriatrics within the framework of his work in a "medical institution", in other words, an hospital or a public clinic.

In order to be examined under this course of examination, the physician must fill out the Appendix B of the claim form, which has to be submitted by the claimant, together with the claim, to the long-term care department of a NII branch.

You can also send the documents directly to the branch via the webstie.
