​New service to long-term care benefit recipients - Kehila Tomechet membership

We are happy to announce that, from the month of March, a new service is added to the long-term care services basket - Kehila Tomechet membership.

A "Kehila Tomechet membership" allows the willing elderly to continue to live in their own home, in their familiar community, in respectable conditions and for the long term. This, in order to provide them with services offering them a security net and good life quality.

As part of the Kehila Tomechet membership, you will be able to be provided the following services:

  • Community father/mother service - who keep a direct and regular contact with the elderly members of Kehila Tomechet, and give them assistance with anything related to their daily needs, such as:
    - Home light maintenance service - making simple and basic repairs at the elderly's home, outside the field of specialization of professionals, as well as communication with professionals for such required repairs.
    - Vistis at the elderly's home at least once every two months, as well as urgent visits, if needed.
    - Arrangements between the Kehila member and various care providers.
  • Panic button and connection to emergency services center - Panic button connected to a 24 hours of the day to an emergency call center, providing medical/police assistance or firefighters in cases of emergency. In addition, Kehila members can, if needed, call book through the center a physician home appointment at any hour of the day, and at a symbolic cost, and even call an ambulance by means of the panic button.
  • Participation in social activities - outside activities held once a week for at least an hour, including activities such as lectures, tours and various meetings. For isolated people at home - at-home leisure activity once a week for at least one hour.

  • The service costs half an hour of care per week.
  • Long-term care benefit recipients entitled to financing from the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security - are not able to be provided this service by the National Insurance.
