Pension to an orphan


A pension to an orphan is paid to children under special circumstances (orphan whose parent is not entitled to a survivors' pension, or an orphan who lost both parents).

Pension to an orphan whose parent is not entitled to a survivors' pension

Pension rate for a single child - NIS 1,079 (as of Jan 01, 2024).
Pension rate when there are more than one child - NIS 814 (as of Jan 01, 2024).

Pension to a child orphaned from both parents

An orphan who lost his father and mother, will be entitled to a survivors' pension for each parent separately.
Pension rate for each child - NIS 2,158 (as of Jan 01, 2024).

Seniority increment

Are entitled to a seniority increment the orphans of a person was insured, before his death, for one year or more.
Increment rate: for each year - 2% of the pension.
Maximum rate of the increment - 50%.

Special benefit (survivors)

Paid to orphans of an Israeli resident, who was not insured (since he was 60-62 years old and above on the day of his immigration).
The amounts od the special benefit are similar to the amounts of survivors' pension, without seniority increment.
