Quarantine benefits to self-employed

​The self-employed registered with the National Insurance who spent time in quarantine, may be entitled to quarantine benefits from the National Insurance.
Compensation is paid retroactively for quarantine periods between 1.7.2021 and 31.7.2022, which will only be granted for quarantine days reported to the Ministry of Health in real time.
Important information! 

  • A self-employed worker who doesn't meet the criteria, but is registered with National Insurance as self-employed, is also entitled to quarantine benefits.
  • Quarantine benefits to self-employed people who caught the Covid-19 virus will only be paid for quarantine days occurring (in par or in full) in the period between 21.12.21 and 14.2.22.
