A child, Israeli resident, who lost his both parents or one of them and the other is "absent" – permanently living abroad or whose whereabouts are unknown – may be eligible for an income support allowance to orphaned or abandoned child.
Are not eligible for the benefit:
- A child entitled to a survivors ' pension is not eligible for income support.
- A child placed in a framework with accommodations which receives government funding (such as boarding school or foster family), will not be eligible for an allowance.
