Lump sum disability grant

People disabled by a hostile action for whom the medical committee set a permanent disability of 10%-19% are entitled to a lump-sum disability grant. The grant is paid after the deadline for appealing the decision of the medical committee. If an appeal is submitted, the grant or benefit is paid after the disability percentage is recalculated.

Grant amount for people with temporary degree of disability

The amount of the grant is calculated based upon the level of the benefit paid to a disabled individual with a 10% disability degree - NIS 580.73 (as of Jan 01, 2025), multiplied by the number of months of eligibility for temporary disability.
For instance: a person who received a degree of disability at a 15% rate for a 24-month period - will receive a grant amounting to NIS 13,937.52 (as of Jan 01, 2025).

If a degree of disability of 19% or less was established, and a lump sum grant was paid but, at a later date, due to worsening of the medical condition connected with the hostile-action injury, the percentage of disability was raised to 20% or more, the grant will be deducted from the monthly benefit to be paid from the date the new disability ranking goes into effect.
