Grants and benefits – aid for purchasing a medical vehicle


A medical vehicle is a vehicle serving the disabled person for the purpose of his mobility and the purchase, maintenance and replacement of which are aided by the rehabilitation department. Aid is rendered to disabled persons according to the following specification (the size of the vehicle approved is determined according to the level of disability and type of injury):

    • Disability level of 30% or above – in cases of disability of lower limbs.
    • Permanent disability level of 50% or above – for any type of injury.
    • Accumulated disability level of 55% or above – when at least 10% as a result of damage to the leucomotoric system (legs, pelvis, spinal cord or back).

Funding includes:

    • Full exemption (100%) of the taxes levied on the vehicle, but no more than a maximum amount determined from time to time.
    • A grant and loan for purchasing a car in the amount of 2/3 of the value of the car purchased without taxes, but no more than a maximum amount determined from time to time.
    • An annual grant for car insurance at an amount determined from time to time.
    • A refund for car licencing fee (as charged upon payment) minus self-participation.
